Expressive Identity Lab: Skill + Self-Awareness

Wednesdays (Ages 9–12)

An advanced creative development program focused on building technical skill, artistic thinking, and personal expression during a key identity-forming stage.

This class encourages students to move beyond simple projects into intentional, concept-driven artwork.

Developmental Focus:

  • Foundational perspective, proportion, and composition skills
  • Visual storytelling and narrative development
  • Emotional expression through symbolism and imagery
  • Introduction to critique and peer feedback
  • Development of personal artistic style

Class Experience:

Students engage in guided skill instruction followed by independent project development. Reflection and structured critique are included to strengthen creative thinking and communication.

Outcomes:

Students begin to think and create like developing artists, demonstrating increased creative independence, self-awareness, and technical ability.
